Once you have selected the mattress that has the right Comfort Level and the proper support and durability to suit your lifestyle, it is then time to decide on the proper foundation. At Mattress Discounters, we offer three types of foundations to choose from based on your individual needs. The mattress and foundation, or box spring, are designed to work together to provide support and durability, so it’s a good idea to buy a new foundation or box spring when you buy your new mattress. Mattress Discounters carries Standard, Reduced Height and Split Foundations. Depending on your preference and needs, you need to consider the foundation that’s right for you. For instance if you have tight hallways or narrow stairs you should consider a Reduced Height (4 1/2" tall) or a Split Foundation (comes in two pieces) in order to easily maneuver it into your bedroom. If you like the look of a taller bed and it won’t present a problem getting it into your home, a Standard Foundation (9") is perfect.
