Invented in the 1960's by NASA scientists, "visco-elastic" foam was created to relieve astronauts from the G-forces during take-off and landings. Tempur-pedic® scientists took on the NASA formula after nearly a decade and perfected what we know today as TEMPUR® material.

The high-quality, high density, temperature sensitive material conforms and molds to the body's shape. The body is supported in the correct anatomical position with the neck and spine in complete alignment.

Unlike the traditional innerspring mattresses, the TEMPUR® material supports you by absorbing and redistributing your body weight across the entire surface therefore relieving those painful pressure points.

TEMPUR® material is naturally treated to resist dust mites and other household allergins. 

The products are CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) and formaldehyde free. And each Tempur-pedic® product has a removable cover for easy laundering.
